OTHER INDOOR RESULTS
REYKJAVIK (ISL, Feb 2): Good sprinting double for home Jona Bjarnadottir in women 60/200 m combination at Reykjavik Indoor Games with 7.48 and 23.98. British wins for James Williams 6.78 in the 60 m and from injury returning high jump talent Dominic Ogbechie (17) with 217.
SOLLENTUNA (SWE, Feb 1): European U23 bronze medallist and Swedish champion in the steeple, Simon Sundström, won the 3000 m at Vinthundsvintern meet in 7:59.86 with the last 400m in 60.1 Sundström passed Mohammad Reza who set an Iranian Record in 8:01.01 and former German Half Marathon Champion Karsten Meier in 8:02.46. Seven heats with a total of over 100 runners took place in Sweden’s largest 3000 m only competition.
OSAKA (JPN, Feb 1): From first day of Japanese Indoors, fast men 60 m hurdles, in first race Taio Kanai 7.61 national record ahead Shunsuke Izumiya 7.68 and Shusei Nomoto 7.69, in second heat Shuhei Ishikawa 7.69.
LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE (BEL, Feb 2): Noor Vidts scored World leading pentathlon 4629 points at the Belgican CE Championships. Her marks: 8.31-179-13.55-636-2:16.07. Second Hanne Maudens 4373, men heptathlon title for Martin Romain 5703 points.
RUD (NOR, Feb 2): National U20 record by Pal Haugen Lillefosse in pole vault with 565, he also had good attempts at 574. Tonje Angelsen cleared 190 in the high jump and Isabelle Pedersen clocked 8.17 in the hurdles in heats and finals. Henriette Jaeger clocked another U20 record when winning the 200 m in 23.55. It is fourth best European U18 all-time position.
BELGRADE (SRB, Feb 1-2): Serbian shot put record 21.13 by Armin Sinancevic highlighted the national championships. Second Asmir Kolasinac got 19.96. Strahinja Jovancevic leaped to 792 in the long jump. Also Aleksa Kijanovic 6.72 in the 60 m and Milana Tirnanic won both 60 m and 200 m in 7.44 and 24.46. Fresh record holder from Karlsruhe Elzan Bibic won tactical 3000 m in 8:12.93.
SOFIA (BUL, Feb 2): Tihomir Ivanov cleared during second day of Bulgarian Indoor championships 225 in the high jump as the best result.
ROCHLITZ (GER, Feb 2): Winners of the special shot put indoor meet were Czech record holder Tomas Stanek with 20.75 and Auriol Dongmo with new Portuguese record 18.31.
TRINEC (CZE, Feb 2): British high jumper Tom Gale won the 28th Beskydska latka high jump with music. He cleared indoor PB 230 and tried at Olympic standard 233. Second Jamal Wilson and third Sylwester Bednarek went over 224. Women competition was topped by Ukrainians. Iryna Heraschchenko beat Yuliya Chumachenko on count back, both 192. Third US Tynita Butts-Townsend 187.
MAGGLINGEN (SUI, Feb 2): Swiss heptathlon title for Simon Ehammer with great PB 5915 points, including 775 in the long jump and 7.86 hurdles. Caroline Agnou scored 4298 points in pentathlon.
LEVERKUSEN (GER, Feb 2): German CE titles for Andreas Bechmann 6097 PB and Vanessa Grimm 4263 points.
SOLLENTUNA (SWE, Feb 2): Swedish heptathlon title for Fredrik Samuelsson 5808, in pentathlon Bianca Salming 4422 points personal best.
GOTEBORG (SWE, Feb 1): European CC bronze medalist Samrawit Mengesteab clocked 8:56.76 PB in the women 3000 m.
COCHABAMBA (BOL, Feb 1): From opening day of inaugural South American Indoor Championships to report Brazilian Aleksandro de Melo 808 in the long jump, Gabriel Constantino clocked 7.78 in the hurdles
