CLERMONT-FERRAND (FRA): Reigning champion Renaud Lavillenie has supported the decision to postpone the World Indoor Championships until 2021. “The federation had to act quickly and that’s what they did. We can’t afford to put people’s health at risk. This decision was made in good timing. We haven’t started February yet and now we do not have to say each week ‘are we going, are we not going?’ We know. It’s done,” he said. With the World Indoor Championships not taking place this year, Lavillenie will finish his indoor season at the French Indoor Championships in Lievin on 29 February-1 March.
