NEW YORK (USA): World bronze medalist at 800 m Ajee Wilson is considering the participation at World Indoors in China. Now in the midst of her winter training with coach Derek Thompson, Wilson says, there have been no major changes, she adds, just a bit more emphasis on strength and a shorter indoor season. “I think I’m racing three times and that’s probably the shortest I’ve run indoors since high school.” Should she qualify for the World Indoor–a meet in which she captured silvers the last two times out–she notes, “I definitely think that anytime you make a team it’s a big deal that can’t be taken for granted. Should that opportunity come, my coach and I will sit down and talk about it. ” Writes trackandfieldnews.com.
