WUHAN (CHN, Oct 23): Mariya Lasitskene cleared a championships record of 2.01m to win the high jump title on day two of the World Military Games in Wuhan ahead of Ukrainians Yuliya Levchenko (1.92m) and Iryna Herashchenko (1.90m). Teammate Sergey Shubenkov won the 110m hurdles in 13.40 ahead of China’s Zeng Jianhang (13.53) while Ukraine’s Nataliya Pryshchepa (2:05.14) and Poland’s Michal Rozmys (1:49.00) took the 800m titles. Also on the track, Morocco’s Mohamed El Aaraby outsprinted Germany’s Amanal Petros for the 10,000m title, 28:44.25 to 28:44.30 and Slovenia’s Maja Mihalinec (23.37) and Dominican Republic’s Yancarlos Martinez (20.79) were the fastest qualifiers for the 200m finals. In other field events, Poland’s Paulina Guba won the shot put with 18.22m from China’s Gao Yang (17.85m), Romania’s Alan Firfirica won the discus title with 63.88m and France’s Hilary Kpatcha won the long jump title with 6.54m.
