Rypakova wins Military gold
WUHAN (CHN, Oct 25): Chinese athletes swept the race walking titles on the fourth day of the World Military Games. Xu Hao (1:22:18) and Yang Jiayu (1:30:03) won the 20km race walk titles and Wang Qin won the men’s 50km race walk title in 3:51:56. Zhang Ji also won the javelin title on home soil in 63.06m. Elsewhere, Kazakhstan’s Olga Rypakova won the triple jump with 14.19m, Kenya’s Winny Chebet won the 1500m title in 4:25.22 from Ukraine’s Nataliya Pryshchepa (4:26.63) and Belarus’ Ekaterina Poplavskaya won the 100m hurdles title in 13.36 from Ukraine’s Hanna Plotitsyna in 13.40.
