Over a period of 10 days the world’s best athletes will go up against each other in hopes of taking home the gold medal for their respective countries. Global Sports Communication will be representing 68 athletes from 18 different countries while also representing Team China under a longstanding partnership. For the duration of the World Championships we will be providing updates, race results and behind the scenes footage via our Social Media channels. Jos Hermens, Director: ‘I am very excited for the upcoming World Championships as they always produce so many great moments. We are a strong team, the athletes are in good shape and we are prepared for any conditions in Doha. We have a very diverse team of athletes but it makes me proud to see that we have favorites in a very broad range of disciplines. Whether it’s on the 1500m, in Triple Jump, on the marathon or in Shotput, we have chances across the board. It is always hard to make predictions but I hope we win 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals, that would be a good score for us. I am very proud of this group of athletes, I know how hard they all worked to get here!” Here is a selection of some of the highlights for GSC athletes: MENS EVENTS 100m | Final: 28/09 Chinese juggernaut SU Bingtian can never be ruled out for a medal on the world stage.
