Noah Lyles may save the sport. No pressure, Noah. Energetic, humorous and someone who genuinely loves his profession, Noah Lyles may be the most important 100m/200m athlete of his generation. Not only is he possessed of great speed, and a huge work ethic, the guy loves to speak with the media, and enjoys the press conference protocals.
Today, for example, as Noah was warming up on the temp track for the adidas Boost Boston Games, some young kids were taking pictures. He stood up, smiling and said, ” Okay, $5 for the photo. We accept credit cards.” The kids looked over, saw he was smiling, and then, got the joke.
