Andy Edwards provides us interviews with elite athletes at major events around the globe. This weekend is no exception. Inspired by Betsy Saina’s Block workout (40k of race pace work in one day), Andy queried Wilson Chebet on a tough session he learned from former World record holder Wilson Kipsang.

Wilson Chebet is the three time champion at TCS Amsterdam, and has a PB, from 2011, of 2:05.27. While his best since 2011 was his 2:08.48 in Boston in 2014. Also note his 2:10.50 on the humid, hot Honolulu Marathon course. Also note, the race management described his prep for Frankfurt as “meticulous”, going so far as to find training runs in Kenya that mimic the flat and speedy course alongside the river Main.
Here’s Andy Edward’s interview of Wilson Chebet.
