DURBAN (RSA): Julien Wanders said he doesn’t think he could have run much faster than his 27:32 in the Durban 10km to break the European record yesterday, informs athle.ch. “I could not have gone much faster than today, it was not far off the perfect course. I knew before the race that I was in shape to run a time like that. I knew that I was much better than I was this time last year,” he said. Wanders will return to his training base in Kenya before embarking on a busy racing season to close out the calendar year. He will race in the Corrida Bulloise (17 November), the Course de l’Escalade in Geneva (2 December) and perhaps the Course de Noel à Sion (8 December) before defending his title in the Corrida de Houilles 10km on 31 December.
