NAIROBI (KEN): Reigning champion Geoffrey Kamworor hasn’t ruled out improving his 2:06:12 PB in the New York Marathon next month despite the undulating nature of the course, informs Xinhua. “Running at New York is like running at home. It is my favourite race. The course is up and down, sometimes flat. I am used to this from my cross country background. But I want something special this year, maybe a personal best time,” he said.
RunBlogRun opines: Geoffrey Kamworor is one of the most talented runners in the world. Kamwororr likes a good fight. He is a tough cross country runner and he is still learning over the marathon distance. In my mind, he is the man who can challenge Kipchoge, although it will be 3-4 years from now.
