NAIROBI (KEN): World and Olympic steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto says he will be ready for the African Championships despite his back problems in recent races. Speaking ahead of the event he told Xinhua: “I love being low-key. You will see me when you will see me. I will put all of my effort in there. I’m ready for it. It has not been easy and this is purely down to my own making. I have run the best time this season at in Rome, but I can do better and winning the Africa title is one thing that inspires me. It is a medal I have not touched.”
