NAIROBI (KEN): World 1500m champion Elijah Manangoi has received a wildcard from Athletics Kenya for the African Championships in Assela, Nigeria in August, informs AFP. Manangoi was a non-starter in the 1500m final at the Kenyan Championships due to the death of his older sister Bena. Manangoi has been named for the 1500m alongside training partner and world-leader Timothy Cheruiyot and Charles Simotwo.
