The Olympic Stadium in Stockholm is the oldest stadium on the Diamond League circuit, having been built for the 1912 Olympic Games. In 1956 The Melbourne Olympic equestrian events took place here as Australian quarantine rules prevented horses from going to Australia. Since Since 1967 the stadium has been the venue of the annual international athletics meeting DN Galan, from 2011 part of the IAAF Diamond League
