Mondo Duplantis has been breaking World Records in the pole vault for several years. He is a unique talent. Mondo is fortunate to have parents who were both athletes. His father is his coach, and his mother understands that, for Mondo to be a human, he needs to be able to be a typical teenager. Issue is, this kid is the finest athlete in sports crazy Sweden, and could be, in six or seven years, the finest pole vaulter in the world. Mondo Duplantis natural attitude, and amazing talent could bring us an athlete with a world appreciation similar to one Usain Bolt.

But, I have digressed.
So, Mondo Duplantis likes to clear big heights. That is clear. On May 5, 2018, Mondo Duplantis cleared 5.93 meters. Mondo did a doping test on the following morning. That doping test will meet the requirements of a new Swedish NR (in the land of reindeer and Wallander, my favorite cop show, one must have doping test within 24 hours of performance). But a doping standard for the IAAF World records is different.
So, for inquiring minds, the World U 20 is the 5.90 meters from 2017. The 5.92 meters and 5.93 meters that Mondo cleared in 2018 have not yet been ratified! Stay tuned, campers.
And our fave Swedish pole vaulter will be jumping on May 25 at the Nike Pre Classic!
Everything went according to plan… @borntoflyfilm
