LONDON (GBR): After winning the Great Manchester Run on Sunday, Mo Farah has revealed he is now targeting an autumn marathon, informs The Guardian. He is likely to contest either the Chicago Marathon in October or the New York Marathon in November.
RunBlogRun opines: Mo Farah had a fine marathon in London. This has given him some confidence. The fields in the big marathons are getting smaller and smaller, and the dollars are too big to resist. Races without pace makers are tougher for many to compete in, and Farah’s championship expertise means a 20 mile run and a six mile race. Mo Farah is made for the World Marathon Majors.
