Kenenisa Bekele is the WR holder at 5000 meters and 10,000 meters. He has now set his eyes on the marathon, and he has had some fine races, he is also battling Eliud Kipchoge, who is the finest marathoner in the world, and perhaps, ever. A tough time to try and finish your legacy. The race on Sunday, April 22, 2018 will be hot and tactical. As the weather gets hotter, the challenges to runners will increase.

Early in the day, while the weather is getting warmer, the top athletes will be battling each other for the title of champion at the Virgin Money London Marathon. Will there be a world record tomorrow? Probably doubtful with the hot weather, but do not be surprised, with three men who have already run 2:03 marathons, the race will be very fast. Here’s a short interview by Andy Edwards of Race News Service with Kenenisa Bekele. How will Kenenisa fare tomorrow? It depends on how much he wants it, and how close Eliud Kipchoge gets to running a “beautiful race”.
