Duplantis cleared
AUSTIN (USA): The 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Built By The Home Depot begin Wednesday and Meet Director James Barr released the list of final qualifiers. Once again, more than 7,000 athletes will be competing at the event that takes place Wednesday through Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Athletes from across the nation and globe with 35 states represented among the entries. Athletes from 21 countries will compete as well. Elite men´s pole vault with Renaud Lavillenie, Shawn Barber and Mondo Duplantis (was cleared and recieved a waiver to compete here) will be one of the highlights on Saturday. 2012 Olympic winner Jenn Suhr is set to compete in women´s pole vault. More than a dozen Olympians are entered with Lifetime Longhorn Ashley Spencer making her outdoor season debut in the 400m hurdles. Men´s 100 m invitational race will have Japan´s Aska Cambridge, long jump olympic winner Jeff Henderson and Gil Roberts (400 m specialist) with Charles Silmon. The women’s invitational is highlighted by the trio of Blessing Okagbare, Tynia Gaither and Kerron Stewart. The collegiate sprints events are sure to be fast again with Aleia Hobbs, Mikiah Brisco and Teahna Daniels along with NCAA record holder Gabrielle Thomas. From organisers release.
