KAMPALA (UGA): Uganda has named a team of 24 athletes for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast from 4-15 April. World silver medallist Joshua Cheptegei has been named for both the 5000m and 10,000m and world U20 cross country champion Jacob Kiplimo will join Cheptegei in the 10,000m. Former world bronze medallist Solomon Mutai is part of a strong marathon team while top names on the women’s side include Dorcus Ajok and Halima Nakaayi (800m), Winnie Nanyondo (1500m) and Mercyline Chelangat (10,000m).
