KINGSTON (JAM): Danniel Thomas-Dodd could become the top shot-putter in the world, in the view of Michael Vassell, throws coach for the Jamaican team at the World Indoors, where she took silver. “I must say she and her coach did a lot of work, and it is evident, and I think she has the fall work to get to 19.8 – possibly 20 – metres, and I hope we’ll see that some time this year,” he told Jamaica Gleaner. “I don’t know when, but I know that based on that path she is on, she will get it out to 20 metres this year, and I think she should be the number-one thrower in the world.”
