Vashti Cunningham is the future of the high jump. In 2016, Vashti won the USATF Indoors, went professional, then won the World Indoors. Vashti is coached by her father, Randall Cunningham and is one of the true talents of the event. In 2018, Vashti has won the US Indoors for the third time then battled Maria Lasitskene, Alessia Trost, and Morgan Lake to take the silver medal in the high jump.

This interview, managed by the Shoe addicts, is a lot of fun. RunBlogRun asked Vashti about how she competes, her training, her favorite music, her social media presense and her interest in fashion. What we found? A confident young woman who is a fierce competitor, and lots of fun to speak with!
Special thanks to the IAAF and LOC for setting up the Ispace concept, which is a modified press conference approach.
