Tomas Stanek confirmed winner
TORUN (POL): One event already has the winner of the IAAF World Indoor Tour (of course pending all usual procedures). Czech shot putter and current world leader Tomas Stanek will compete in Torun as the winner of the series. He has 20 points and Torun will be the last meet of the series with shot put. Second Stipe Zunic who could theoretically beat him (12 points) will not compete. Stanek is after Pavel Maslak (400 m) last year second Czech athlete winning an event in the tour. His main rivals on Thursday will be home stars Michal Haratyk and Konrad Bukowiecki. In two more events (not staged in Glasgow) decision about the tour winner will be made for sure in Torun, men´s pole vault and triple jump.
