Elaine Thompson is focused on World Indoors Birmingham

KINGSTON (JAM): Double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson is treating the 2018 season no differently to any other year even though there isn’t a global outdoor championships to aim for, informs the Jamaica Star. “It was a good win for me. My preparation is just like any other year despite no major championships taking place this year, and I am just happy to finish (this race) injury-free,” said Thompson after opening her season with a 7.18 clocking for 60m outdoors at the Grace Jackson Track Meet. Thompson will race over 60m in Glasgow on 25 February ahead of the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
