NAIROBI (KEN): World 1500m champion Elijah Manangoi has confirmed he plans to compete at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in March, Xinhua news agency reports. “I want to do well in the indoor circuit before focusing on the outdoor competition. The Commonwealth Games are in April while the IAAF Diamond League does start in May. I will have enough time to recover,” said Manangoi. He should face tough opposition from last year’s IAAF World Indoor Tour winner Bethwel Birgen (as wild card holder is assured to compete in Birmingham) and former world 1,500m silver medallist Silas Kiplagat.
