Wolfgang Marzin is the CEO f Messe Frankfurt, one of the sponsors of the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon. I met Wolfgang at the first presser with Vivian Cheruiyot. It was nice to see a sponsor who is both fan and runner. Wolfgang has run marathons, as have two of his children.
Marzin’s company, Messe Frankfurt, owns over 140 trade shows around the globe. His site in Frankurt is one of the largest and oldest in Europe. The Frankfurt Marathon Expo was held in Wolfgang’s facility in Frankfurt.
We spoke with Wolfgang Marzin on October 29, 2017, regardng the nature of sponsorship, and his interest in the Frankfurt Marathon. A positive and optomistic businessman, Marzin sees running as a good activity to sponsor, and a great way to reach out to professionals in various businesses and activities, his target market.
We thank Markus Quint, Messe Frankfurt Company Spokesman, for arranging this meeting.
