LONDON (GBR): British heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson looks back positively on 2017 despite finishing only seventh at the World Championships. She told the Metro: “It was a successful year for me in many ways. I had a huge life change and I’m happy with the way I handled that,” she said in reference to moving to France to be guided by Bertrand Valcin. “With my past record it’s difficult to keep bouncing back from setbacks like I have but I know I’ll go into next year strong if I can add in a good high jump.” She said she took seven weeks after the World Championships but is now training again.
