RunBlogRun opines: Want to get Kenenisa Bekele to kick some butt? Say a few things about his less than full effort approach at recent marathons. Suggest that he might not be able to run fast again. Kenenisa Bekele has nine lives. I am curious to see if he is able to train all out again, or if he is being nagged by injuries. One thing is for certian, Kenenisa Bekele is fired up with recent media suggestions that he is not giving it his all.

ADDIS ABABA (ETH): Kenenisa Bekele has responded to the comments made by his agent Jos Hermens questioning his professionalism in the build-up to the Berlin Marathon, informs LetsRun.com. “How can one question the professionalism of an athlete that has the second fastest marathon time ever and is still a world record holder in the 10k and 5k to this day?” he said. Bekele still believes he has the ability to break Dennis Kimetto’s world record of 2:02:57 despite a DNF in the Berlin Marathon. “I definitely will break it before my retirement. For all the skeptics, I will show them with my hard work. I want to seize my future. And I don’t want anyone to get into my way of proving myself.”
