Cheptegei 27:29DURBAN (RSA, Oct 8): World silver 10k medalist from London Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda won the Durban CitySurfRun 10k in fast national record and South Africa All-Comers top mark 27:29. Another Ugandan Stephen Kissa was clearly behind as second in 28:05 and third Swiss Julien Wanders in 28:13 national record. Only then top home runners followed with Stephen Mokoka 28:35 and Elroy Gelant 29:12. Women winner was also from Uganda and also clocked a national record, Mercyline Chelangat 31:38 ahead of Kenyan Pascalia Chepkorir 31:48. Next in order Dorcas Tuitoek 32:11 over Veronicah Nyaruai 32:55 and home Dominique Scott 33:26.
