The 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon had two entirely different races up front. Galen Rupp won with a killer 5k between 35k and 40k. Tirunesh Dibaba ran, with no pacemakers, up front nearly the entire race. She had hoped for a 2:17:18, but, due to lots of things, ran 2:18:30. James O’Brien, communications director at NYAC, and a keen observer of the sport, did the live updates at Chicago and also the post event pressers. Here is the Hi Def version of the presser courtesy of The Shoe Addicts.
