So, the zen moment of Ryan Crouser happened on June 25, 2017. Ryan told us that he knew Joe Kovacs had thrown far, but no sure how far. Ryan then saw that Joe Kovacs had taken his lead, with Kovac’s 22.35 meter heave.

Ryan Crouser got in the ring. “On my sixth throws, I normally push it, but this time, I stayed in control and used the power in my lower body to push the shot out there. There was a time when I was in the ring that I forgot what I was doing. That is normally good and means that I will probably throw far.” And, Ryan Crouser threw 22.65 meters, his personal best.
When I asked Ryan Crouser to critique the throw, he said that there were three things he could improve. ” I feel pretty good about the throw because I did not do the three things I want to do on each throw.
