I remember watching Karien Hussein win the 2014 European Outdoor Championships over 400 meter hurdles. He shocked many with that fine run. With the rigors of medical school, Kariem has been juggling training and education, and that is tough. In 2016, Kariem won the bronze medal in the 2016 European Outdoor Champs over 400 meter hurdles.
Well, Kariem Hussein delighted the Swiss crowd at Athletissima last night, winning the 400 meter hurdles in the last steps. Kariem had looked good the entire final straight, and this must have been comforting and inspiring for the fine hurdler. Running his best time in over a year, Kariem Hussein won the 400 meter hurdles in 48.79 last night!
