The Highgate Harriers Night of 10,000 meter PBs is in its fifth year. Ben Pochee, Highgate Harriers, Tom Bedford, and their teams provide an amazing night of entertaining athletics. Their additions this year was a fine seminar on running, held on the side of the track, underneath one of the tents, with over a thousand fans!
Seb Coe, IAAF President, 1980 and 1984 Olympic 800m silver medalist and 1,500m gold medalist, Paula Radcliffe, World record holder, World champion, marathon, and Wendy Sly, 1984 Olympic silver medalist at 3000 meters, plus Snooker superstar Ronnie O’Sullivan provided one of the finest clinics on distance running that this writer has seen. Topics include the importance of cross country running for distance runners, the support of youth running, the favorite sessions of the athletes in the seminar and finally, the proper way to consider the changes in World Records.
