Harrison update
LEXINGTON (USA): World 100m hurdles record-holder Kendra Harrison will have surgery on a broken finger on Thursday but her coach has said she hopes to return to action in less than a month, informs Reuters. Doctors will determine when she is able to race again but her coach Edrick Floreal has said “she’ll be ready to hurdle in about three weeks.” Her coach added Harrison could compete in the 100m or 200m at the US Championships in Sacramento next month as she has a wildcard to compete at the World Championships after winning the Diamond Race last year.
RunBlogRun opines: Keni Harrison is one resiliant athlete. I saw her a few hours after her cast was set and she was in good spirits. We wish her a speedy recovery.
