The Oxy Performance Classic is a night of fast running. With the time of the year, middle of May, and mostly good weather, the OxyHP meet brings the best middle distance runners together to race!. From the huge 1,500m battle, down to the final steps, with Sheila Reid and Shannon Rowbury (4:07.07-4:07.17, to the World Leader by Brenda Martinez over 800 meters (1:58.78), to the ease of the win in the steeple by Hillary Bors (8:23.08).
Then, there was the men’s 1,500 meters. What is it about a good 1,500 meters. With good pacing, it came down to Chris O’Hare, Mo Farah and Matthew Centrowitz, at 2:52 into the race! With a 54.4 last lap, Matthew Centrowitz reminded the world why he is the Olympic champion, taking the win in 3:33.41. Mo Farah was quite close, as one would expect, in 3:34.19. And the guty Brit, Chris O’Hare, who just took a half second off his PB, taking third in 3:34.35!
A great night of running! Thanks @USATF!
