PRETORIA (RSA): World record holder and Olympic gold medalist Wayde Van Niekerk commented on recent change in the time-table of London 2017 allowing him more time for his potential 200/400 m double. “I am very excited, it now means that I just have to work harder towards London and put out some great times during the European season to build some confidence against the big boys in the 200m and also improve my 400m as well.” He will compete next weekend at National Championships in Potchefstroom.
