Kara Goucher won the bronze medal in the 10,000 meters in Osaka, Japan in 2007. It was an amazing race, and a fantastic medal. In 2008 and 2012, Kara ran the 10,000 meters in Beijing and marathon in London.

In 2016, Kara Goucher ran an oh so close fourth place in the marathon, and then, her body all but shut down. Kara is healing now, running only since July.
RunBlogRun met with Kara for a few minutes at the Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon on the 13th of January. Kara and RunBlogRun spoke about the current state of the sport, and her desire to run another fast marathon. Kara Goucher spoke courtesy of her sponsors, Skechers Performance Footwear.
We wish her the very best.
