COTTBUS (GER, Jan 25): Poland´s Olympic fourth placer and Beijing Worlds bronze medalist Piotr Lisek jumped in super style at the Springer Meeting of Cottbus in Germany. More than 2000 spectators saw his 11 jumps as 578 clearance was already enough for win. But then he added first time clearance at 583 WL and second attempt over 592 what was not only WL but also meet record and Poland´s record in or out. After that he still delivered three solid attempts at six meters. Second Raphael Holzdeppe 573 and third Kostadinos Filippidis 568 with another World champion Shawn Barber fourth with 560. Lithuanian record holder Airine Palsyte as usual in top shape in Cottbus with 195 first attempt success what at the end was the winning mark. After one jump at 198 she as confirmed winner tried twice at 2 meters and it was not without a real chance. Olympic winner Ruth Beitia cleared 192 in second and after one miss at 195 went for two tries at 198. She ended third as Croatian European medalist 2014 Ana Simic mastered 192 in first attempt.
