ITEN (KEN): New York Marathon winner Mary Keitany has vowed to bounce back in the London Marathon after finishing ninth last year, informs The Star. “It is still too early to talk about winning the event. This is something that comes automatically when the training is right. But I know I will not be ninth,” said Keitany, who has already started her build-up for London.
RunBlogRun opines: Mary Keitany is one of the toughest marathoners in the world. Her fall in London obviously hurt her race in 2016. She will be more focused and inspired in 2017. RunBlogRun looks forward to her race against Jemima Sumgong. In my opinion, the women’s race in Virgin London in April 2017 is looking like an absolutely increadible race. With Sumgong and Keitany battling each other, a women could run 2:18 and not win!
