Genzebe in Torun for fast 1500 m
TORUN (POL): World 1500m champion Genzebe Dibaba will launch an attack on her world indoor 1500m record in Torun on 10 February, informs PZLA. Dibaba set the existing world record of 3:55.17 in Karlsruhe back in 2014 before breaking the world outdoor record with 3:50.07 the following year. Elsewhere, Joanna Jozwik will go head-to-head with world champion Marina Arzamasava in the 800m while Adam Kszczot and Marcin Lewandowski face Eric Sowinski in the men’s 800m. Ewa Swoboda will compete in the 60m on the road to the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade. In men hurdles Olympic silver medalist Orlando Ortega will face French duo Pascal Martinot-Lagarde with Dimitri Bascou and US Jarret Eaton.
