The European Athletics Association has formed a review committee to reconsider all European records and to decide which have been tainted by doping and which have not. They are doing the pain staking discussions and reviews of records set during a time when the suggestion of doping was more than a suggestion. They have to tell which records are just the results of an athlete in the performance of their life and an athlete who has been enhanced by doping.

This is the result of many asking what should be done about records that are suspected to the have resulted from athletes and countries using doping as a part of their training regimens. Much of this was whispered, as the fathers of sport, at the time, did not see doping as a major problem.
We are appreciative of the work and the process that the EAA has decided to go forward with on this project. We applaud the EAA for asking the hard questions.
