Wilson 1:25.33 in the 600 meters
NEW YORK (USA, Jan 21): Ajee’ Wilson World Indoor silver medalist continued to show strong early-season form, clocking the second-fastest indoor 600m ever by an American woman at the 22nd annual New Balance Games at the Armory Track & Field Center in Upper Manhattan with 1:25.23. In the women’s invitational mile, Canada’s Kate Van Buskirk ran a solid 4:30.14 (1500 m split 4:12.59 OB) off of a slow first half (2:18) to get the win. Charlene Lipsey, an 800 m specialist, ran a personal best 4:31.35 in second place (also 4:14.05 split PB), while Sarah McDonald, an Englishwoman, clocked 4:32.06, also a career-best time. In the mile in his pro debut Drew Hunter had beaten Julian Oakley, 3:58.92 to 3:59.04 over the mile, third D.J. Principe made it close, finishing in 4:00.97. That made him the third-fastest USA high schooler indoors of all time. Trinidad´s Lalonde Gordon won the 300 m in good 32.88. In women category Jordan Lavender 37.94. From RRW.
