Jarrion Lawson is one of the nicest athletes you would want to meet. In June 2016, Jarrion won the 100 meters, 200 meters and Long Jump at the NCAA Oudoor Champs Division 1 meet in Eugene, Oregon. That was the first time in 80 years it was done. Last man to achieve that feet? Jesse Owens! In the 2016 Rio Olympics, Jarrion Lawson came within an eyelash of winning a medal in the Long Jump, finishing fourth. A class act, Jarrion did not complain, he took the high road and we will see this young man at many competitions on the world stage to come. His medal days are coming. RunBlogRun interviewed Jarrion at an event held by his sponsor, ASICS, for the Girls on the Run national clubs. Jarrion spoke to us about his season, and his support of the @ASICSExtraMile program. We thank Jarrion Lawson for his time. Special thanks to Melinda Hutcheon, ASICS communications for her teams’ assistance. This video was shot and produced by The Shoe Addicts, video partners of RunBlogRun and the RunningNetwork.
