Kipchoge in good shape
NEW DELHI (IND): Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge has confirmed he is in good shape ahead of the New Delhi Half Marathon on 20 November, informs Xinhua. “I have maintained my training and I am in good shape to win. I always want to put in the best and I know there are other athletes keen to take the title, but I will do my part and let them struggle to take it away from me,” he said. This will be Kipchoge’s first race since winning the Olympic marathon title in August. His best is 59:25 from 2012. World lead is 58:44 by Solomon Yego.
RunBlogRun opines: Fascinating growth of road racing and cross country racing in India. The prize purses are amazing, with many over $100,000. Mr. Kipchoge, one of the finest runners in the world, deserves to make a some good coin while he is racing so well. India is now on RunBlogRun bucket list to see both the culture and the culture of sports. RunBlogRun believes that India could be the next athletics super power.
