EUGENE (USA): Olympic 110m hurdles finalist Devon Allen will forego his remaining collegiate eligibility in order to turn professional and while he will focus solely on athletics for the foreseeable future, he has not ruled out a return to American football, informs AP. “My ideal scenario is to run track for the next couple of years, and then in the 2020 Olympics win the gold medal, have the world record. And then I can put that aside and try to play football. So I think that’s the ideal scenario,” said Allen, who studies at the University of Oregon. He is currently recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee sustained during the collegiate football season. He also hopes to complete his degree in business administration in the spring. His track agent is Paul Doyle.
