HACHIOJI (JPN, Nov 26): Miler and 1500 m world junior record holder Ronald Kwemoi debuted at western Tokyo’s Hosei University in the 10 000 m with excellent 27:33.94. Top ten went sub 27:50 and top 16 sub 28 minutes. That only in seventh race. Winner of the sixth David Njuguna from Kenya achieved 27:49.57 with Daniel Kitonyi as another one sub 28 in 27:49.89, for both personal bests.
RunBlogRun opines: Nice to see Chris Derrick returning to fine fitness. He finished fifth in the U.S. Olympic Trials after dealing with injuries in 2015 and 2016. We have enjoyed watching Chris win in Edinborough, Scotland over tough cross country course in 2014, and that was exciting! Looking forward to seeing Chris Derrick race in 2016.
