Cyprian Kotut is a fine athlete, who is on his ascendency in our sport. The brother of famed marathoner Martin Lel, Cyprian won the April 2016 Maraton de Paris in a fine 2:07:11. In 2015, Cyprian ran 2:08:55 in Milano Marathon.

But it is over the half distance that Cyprian Kotut shows his brilliance. A 59:12 half marathon in 2014 in New Delhi was followed in 2015 by a 59:28 at City-Pier-City half marathon.
Coached by Claudio Berardelli, and advised by his brother, Martin Lel, Cyprian told the media that, right after his Paris victory, his borther told him to race in Frankfurt.
In a few hours, Cyprian Kotut will be racing the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon. ” I hope to run in the 2:05 times, I want to run my personal best.”
