Blake does not want to be the beast anymore
KINGSTON (JAM): After his World leading 9.95 on Saturday, an emotional Yohan Blake thanked God for helping him through the tough times, adding that he wants to be referred to as ‘The Beast’ no more. “I don’t want to set any expectations but as I say God is good. Oh my God it has been really tough, but thank God my friends who have been there, my coach they have been talking to me, you know you have to get rid of that name (Beast), the beast, that’s holding you back so I get rid of that name now so it has been good,” Blake said for Jamaica Gleaner. His manager Cubie Seegobin said Blake will compete in Germany on May 14 at the adidas Boost meet in Herzogenaurach (100 m) and then the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston on June 11.
