AUSTIN (USA, Apr 2): World champion Shawn Barber cleared World leading 591 in the pole vault during final day of Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. He also tried at 601. Behind him with 570 Sweden´s Melker Svard Jacobsson (PB) and Japanese Hiroki Ogita (equaled PB). Jarvis Gotch won long jump with 824 (+1.7) PB, in the high jump 226 for Jeron Robinson and Trey Culver (PB). Interesting in women high jump life-time best for Rachel McCoy 193 (her first 190+ result). Nigerian Stephen Mozia won shot put 20.14. In hurdles David Oliver topped the invitational race in 13.44 (+1.1). Windy 9.99 (+3.0) for Tevin Hester in men 100 m. In the invitational first section Abdullah Mohammed of Saudi Arabia 10.12 (+2.1) and in the second Japanese Yoshihide Kiryu in 10.24 (-1.4) beat NCAA stars Ronnie Baker 10.30 and Cameron Burrell 10.33. More luck for Morolake Akinosun in women 100 m with +1.9 wind and 11.07 a World lead. Michelle-Lee Ahye of Trinidad won the Invitational 100 m in 11.25 (-0.1) and Natasha Hastings 200 m in 22.84 (+2.7). TCU in 39.08 and LSU in 3:01.83 topped men relays, on the women side LSU 43.25 and Texas 3:26.54. Trinidad and Tobago won the invitational women section in 43.06 over USA Red team (Alexander, P. Francis, Prandini, Todd) 43.16.
