Drouin vs Kynard
NEW YORK (USA): The 109th NYRR Millrose Games on February 20 will have some interesting duels. Men’s high jump with World champion Derek Drouin and Olympic medalist Erik Kynard. Women 800 m where US top runners Ajee Wilson and Brenda Martinez will compete against each other.

Editor’s note: The high jump is an amazing event. Properly presented, the high jump can keep an entire audience on their feet. The battle in NYC in 2013 between Bohdan Bondarenko and Eza Mutaz Barshim was one of the most amazing events I have ever see.
Millrose’s home in the Armory has been good for the venerable meet. I am still sad that there is no longer an event at the MSG-Madison Square Garden, but a lack of many things killed the event in the Garden. The move to the Armory has reinvigorated the iconic event.
