This interview on CNN Sports was done by Anne Davies. Ms. Davies did a very fine job keeping Seb Coe on her topic. Ms. Davies asked tough questions. Coe responded, and admitted that these are “Dark Days” as he called them.
He also made the point that the really tough days (aka crisis) were three years ago when all of this was breaking with the Russians and others. Ms. Davies showed an interview done before the WADA report, where Mr. Coe noted the sport was not in crisis.
Ms. Davies persisted and asked Mr. Coe if there were any other revelations coming out against him in the upcoming report on January 14.
I believe Lord Coe handled the interview well, much better than he has so far in this crisis.
Let’s see how this goes tomorrow.
