PORTLAND (USA): Both Ashton Eaton and Brianne Theisen-Eaton plan to compete in the multi events at the 2016 World Indoors, report SI. Eaton, has confirmed in early December that he wanted to defend his World Indoor heptathlon title. Now, Ashton and Brianne have accepted IAAF invitations to compete at the event, which will be held in Portland. Ashton said that the will try to break his world record at the championships. In total 12 athletes will be invited to both men heptathlon and women pentathlon.
Editor’s note: This should be one of the highlights of the World Indoors. The Portland 2016 World Champs will be entertaining, and show us some new stars as well as athletes who have shone at indoors in the past.
